The BES Drongos are a group of nature lovers from the Bachelor of Environmental Studies (BES) programme at the National University of Singapore (NUS) who have come together to manage guided walks open to everyone and anyone. We want to inspire people to appreciate the rich local biodiversity and ecological systems we have in Singapore through our guided walks on the Petai Trail at Macritchie Reservoir Park.
Join us in raising awareness about Singapore biodiversity by hashtagging your pictures from the Petai Trail and nature walks in Macritchie with #petaitrail and they might be featured on our social media platforms!
Our main Drongos team consists of:
President: Sin Yeou
Secretary: Vera Sim
Volunteer Manager(s): Samuel Lee
Training Head: Toh Wei Yang & Lim Jiajun
Publicity Head: Chloe Foo
We would like to thank Toddycats and the organisers of the Love MacRitchie Walks for providing capacity building in the setup of the BES Drongos. We would also like to thank the hard work of previous exco committees as well as all present and past members of BES Drongos.
Special thanks to the 2nd BES Student Committee and the ex-director of BES special projects Aw Jeanice for overseeing this project, as well as Dr Joelle Lai of the Toddycats and Dr Mendoza for being our advisers.
